Wim Bosch:
lives and works as a visual artist in Groningen the Netherlands.
Since finishing the Academy for Visual Arts Minerva in Groningen his work
has been shown in exhibitions in the Netherlands and abroad.
In Northern Germany his work was on display in the exhibition:
Caleidoscopium in the Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven (march-may 2002)
Bosch started off as a painter and his work was awarded with the,
Royal Award for painting in 1992, also he made several installations
and videos. At the end of 2002 he exchanged paint and canvas for computer,
camera and high-tech printing techniques.
In the last large format prints he produced in the last three years he is exploring
the noman’s land between painting and photograpy.
In his works he refers to the traditions of (Dutch genre)painting as to cinema and
photography.
His suspensfull interior-scenes actually are collages made from a combination of found-
footage like: commercial brochures, magazine-pictures, internetpictures and self
shot-photomaterial from collected objects found in his personal surrounding.
